At 2343 hours on Friday November 27th, Company 7, Engines 121 (Stonewood VFD), 11 (Anmoore VFD), and 51 (Mt. Clare VFD) were alerted for a Structure Fire on Hoop Pole Hollow Road in Center Branch. Engine 72 staffed with 4 personnel responded in 2 minutes with Engine 71 and Tanker 7 following with an additional 4 personnel. Engine 72 arrived on scene with a Working Fire to find a single-wide trailer over 50% involved and placed (2) 1 3/4” cross lays in service with one line being advanced through the front door for an interior attack which was hampered by flashover conditions. Engines 122, 71, 11, and 52 all assisted Tanker 7 with water supply and interior and exterior crews with fire extinguishment. The fire was placed under control within 25 minutes. After ventilation and extensive overhaul, all units returned home just after 0130 hours. Anmoore EMS was on scene for stand by with no injuries reported and Engine 112 (Spelter VFD) transferring to Co. 7 and Engine 81 (Reynoldsville VFD) to Co. 12. Squad 7 also handled a CO Alarm on Norma Street in Nutter Fort while units were first arriving on scene. On a side note, this was the first call for the “new and improved” Engine 72.
