Structure Fire in Barbour County
Monday, August 9th, 2021
At 0752 hours on Monday August 9th, Engine 71 was alerted to assist Barbour County Station 4 (Philippi VFD) as well as Belington and Junior VFDs on Murphy Station Road off of Route 119. Engine 71 responded with 2 personnel in under 3 minutes. Engine 43 arrived on scene with a Working Fire in a double wide trailer. Engine 71 arrived as 3rd due and sent its manpower to assist with interior and exterior fire suppression and supplied water to units on scene. Elkins FD was originally transferred to Station 4 but was pulled to the scene for additional manpower. After overhaul and clean up, 71 returned home just before 1100 hours. Barbour County EMS was also on scene with no injuries reported.

At 2333 hours on Tuesday July 26th, Company 11 (Spelter VFD), Engines 41 (Lumberport VFD), 71, and 101 (Shinnston VFD) along with HCES were dispatched for a Structure Fire in the 3500 block of Shinnston Pike in Hepzibah.
