At 1921 hours on Sunday September 12th, Company 13 (Summit Park VFD), Engines 71, 121 (Stonewood VFD), 81 (Reynoldsville VFD), and HCES were alerted for a Structure Fire on Beechnut Street in Summit Park. Engine 71 responded with 5 personnel in less than 3 minutes. Initial reports indicated an outbuilding on fire. 71 arrived on scene to find a 2-vehicle detached garage fully involved as well as the delta side of an exposure, a single wide trailer, on fire as well. 71’s crew placed (2) 1 3/4” cross lays in service knocking the bulk of the fire quickly. 132 was 2nd arriving and 121 was 3rd arriving laying approx. 800” of 3” supply line from the hydrant to supply 71. Co. 7 and additional mutual aid made entry into the exposure to find negative extension inside the residence as well as fully containing the fire in the garage. After overhaul and clean up, crews returned home at 2045 hours. Engine 52 (Mt. Clare VFD) transferred to Co. 13 for the duration of the incident. No injuries were reported. A total of 8 Co. 7 personnel operated on scene.
