Members Obtain Diving Certification
Tuesday, August 28th, 2018
Over the past 2 weekends, 7 members obtained their PADI Open Water Diver Certification. These members will continue their dive training to the highest level possible in order to establish a Dive Team to supplement our Swiftwater Rescue Team. We want to thank Bob Sharp and his dive staff for being outstanding instructors, Erin Atkins with the City of Clarksburg for letting us use the VA Pool for the class, and to the Nutter Fort Lions Club for their generous donation towards funding for equipment.

Nutter Fort Fire Department would like to thank Invisible Fence of West Virginia for their generous donation of a pet oxygen mask kit. This will allow responders to provide immediate life saving oxygen therapy to pets who have been exposed to prolonged smoke inhalation.

On Saturday November 23rd, the department hosted its annual Christmas Banquet. This time was a change in tradition for everyone as it was held at the Best Western in Bridgeport instead of our station. Some members received awards in various categories and our Top 10 Responders were also recognized.

As of 1530 hours on Saturday April 27th, our new MSA G1 SCBAs were placed in service to replace our 15 year old Surviv Air SCBAs. The new SCBAs also come marked using MN8 FoxFire identification system.Thank you to Dill’s Fire and Safety and to MSA for their help on this project.
