NFFD Joins After The Disaster

While restocking West Millford Volunteer Fire Department, ATD was thrilled to leave a tote with newest department, Nutter Fort!

After The Disaster, Inc. (ATD) is a a non-stock, non-profit public benefit corporation established on May 20, 2019 to provide ATD Kits for victims of disasters such as fire or flood. ATD provides the kits to fire stationsto be distributed by the stations to the affected victims at the scene of the disaster. ATD’s specific objectives are:

  1. To assemble hygiene kits for fire/flood victims;
  2. To provide first responders with hygiene kits to be distributed on scene;
  3. To maintain a supply of hygiene kits for first responders to distribute.

On Saturday November 23rd, the department hosted its annual Christmas Banquet. This time was a change in tradition for everyone as it was held at the Best Western in Bridgeport instead of our station. Some members received awards in various categories and our Top 10 Responders were also recognized.

As of 1530 hours on Saturday April 27th, our new MSA G1 SCBAs were placed in service to replace our 15 year old Surviv Air SCBAs. The new SCBAs also come marked using MN8 FoxFire identification system.Thank you to Dill’s Fire and Safety and to MSA for their help on this project.
